Beading Party Kits

Organising a party activity can be both daunting and costly when looking at the different party entertainments available.  Beading is a great activity that will take care of up to 30 minutes of the party, allow each child or adult to take home their own unique party favour AND teach them a skill they can use again and again.  All at a cheaper price still than hiring a performer.

Here is a sample of the kits with prices, complete materials list and difficulty rating.  For all bracelets and rings, the same technique is used that is shown in comprehensive single page directions including knot diagrams which has been tested successfully at two Kid's Universes in Sydney for a total of approximately 8,000 bracelets to children ages 4 – 99.  It is advisable that one adult practice the project before the party because some assistance may be required at times.

Directions

Directions include a single page comprehensive description of the elastic beaded bracelet including clear knotting diagrams for finishing off projects.  The same technique works for the bracelets and rings alike.

Directions only are $5 for a soft copy from which you can print as many times as needed along with materials listings required per bracelet if you wish to buy beads yourself.

For $6.50 you can specify up to 10 copies, which will be mailed to your home including postage.

Bead Kits

Alternatively for a small additional cost ready made kits can be provided including beads, pre-cut elastic and paper ruler for a finished bracelet as listed below.  All you have to provide is willing beaders and a pair of scissors (best used under adult supervision).

Beginnings Bracelet - $4 ea

A variety of larger 7 mm – 1 cm plastic pony beads and black hat elastic perfect for ages 4 – 9 year olds with a little less dexterity or no exposure to lacing beads.  Bead colours are dependent on stock available and although all attempt is made to match colour requests, it cannot be guaranteed.  These types of beads are quite popular for boys.

No ring available in the Beginner series to do large size of beads.

Endeavour Bracelet Kit - $5 ea

These include a variety of acrylic and glass beads ranging from 4 mm – 1 cm perfect for younger children 8 and over.  This bracelet is perfect for young beaders who have not had much exposure to lacing beads before onto thinner thread (elastic in this case) as the larger beads help balance the challenge of small beads.

Colour schemes available in this series are as follow:

A – Pink/Purple – a collection of pink and purple glass and acrylic beads

B – Blue – a collection of blue and glass and acrylic beads with clear or light pink accents (you can specify preference of clear or pink accents)

Endeavour rings would be a sampling of one 5 mm glass beads and the smaller beads for 50 cents each.

If the children are more dexterous or accustomed to beading on thin thread, then a slightly more challenging project is available consisting of glass seed beads, bugle beads and six 4 mm glass beads as photographed below.

Colour schemes available in this series are as follow:

A – Green – green seed beads, bugle beads and green 4 mm glass beads
