Q. How did you get into this business?
Having worked in a similar advertising business for a number of years, I felt that the level of service and creativity offered to clients by the existing business wasn’t up to scratch. I felt I could offer a better service at a more affordable rate.
Q. What did you do before you started this business?
I worked in a similar advertising agency business and before that, I was a Teacher
Q. Did you have any business training before you started?
Yes – practical training, nothing formal
Q. Describe your business and products/services you offer.

We opened for business in 1997 and have been going strong ever since. With many years of combined experience in the creative, advertising, marketing, digital publishing and online spaces, we can tackle any creative task – big or small.
Being one of the smaller boutique marketing agencies in Perth, you will receive a personal and professional service from the people who run the business. Our aim is to develop a strong partnership with a select number of key clients. This will ensure that we have a close understanding of your business and are able to provide the best level of service. With us you’ll be treated like a big fish in a small pond
Q. How long have you been running your business?
Q. How many hours a week do you work in your business?
55 to 60 hours
Q. What kind of online and offline marketing do you do and which is working for you?
Adwords, SEO, Blogs, Directories, Social Media marketing.
Q. Do you use social media as part of your marketing?
Q. What mistakes have you made in running your business and what lessons have you learnt from those?
I initially tried to be too hands-on and working in the business rather than on it. Once I sat back and delegated others to do the work, my enjoyment of the business increased markedly.
Q. How has your website helped you run your business?
We use our Website as a first point of reference for businesses wanting to check us out. We use it as an on-line brochure, preferring to showcase our work rather than sell, as we are more of a consultancy rather than a seller of tangible products.
Q. What obstacles or challenges are you facing at the moment?
Trying to increase our ROI on our online PPC advertising.
Q. Any other comments / points you would like to share about running your business?
To be successful in running your own business, you have to believe in your own abilities to succeed. You have to work hard and surround yourself with others who are smarter and have different skill sets to you.
