Q. How long have you been in business?

Almost 10 years in total

Q. What did you do before you started this business?

Business Management within Golden Casket Lotteries (now Tattersalls) and Nestle Australia

Q. Who are your main customers and why do you enjoy working with them?

Small and Medium sized businesses who require help with improving the performance of their business.

Q. Did you have any business training before you started?

I have a Bachelor of Business in Commerce and Marketing as well as separate qualifications in Leadership, Coaching, Negotiation, Management, and Finance.

Q. Describe your business and products/services you offer?

The Dirigo Group offers a complete business solution with service offerings including:

1.Business Advice – Business Plans/Cash Flow Forecasts, Mentoring/ Coaching, Business Turnaround Plans, Business Management/ Systemisation;

Q. How many hours a week do you work in your business?

Varies between 30 and 60hrs depending on projects

What kind of online and offline marketing do you do and which is working for you?

Online we have a strong website with regular blogs, email-outs as well as presence on LinkedIn and Facebook. Offline we have comprehensive brochures and marketing flyers. Online works most effectively with the ability to measure results directly.

Yes – LinkedIn and Facebook

Q. What mistakes have you made in running your business and what lessons have you learnt from those?

Key Lessons – Surround yourself with k nowledgeable and capable people that can help and provide your clients with 5 STAR service. Enjoy what you do!

Q. What obstacles or challenges do your small business clients face most often?

Cash flow issues, Staff Issues, Sales and marketing issues, limitations with growth (due to others above), Limited Goals and measures to know where they want to be and how they are tracking to get there.

Q. Any other tips you would like to share about running a small business? 

Smart and Hard work does pay off but you also need key people to guide and support you if you want to achieve your goals more quickly and effectively.
