Q. How long have you been in business?
Many years, helping my wife with her health and beauty business and helping other businesses with marketing and creating an online presence.
Q. What did you do before you started this business?
I was a marine engineer. Encouraged by my family to go into marine engineering because it was in my family history. My grandfather was supposed to work on the Titanic but missed the ship as he was stuck in a pub. I wanted to study programming but my parents said there is no future in computers. This was 1987.
Q. Who are your main customers and why do you enjoy working with them?
Any business big or small. Online or local businesses, local, national and international. I enjoy working with them as I know how hard and costly it is to promote a business.
Q. Did you have any business training before you started?
No business training, just hard work and common sense. I jumped in the deep end when I immigrated to Australia in 1999 to start a business in Sydney.

There are not enough hours per week to do everything.
Q. What kind of online and offline marketing do you do and which is working for you?
Online marketing can be vary costly and not as effective. Networking at functions and group meetups has worked best for my business. That is what my business is all about. Setting up referrals and networking with other business owners.

Yes, it is part of the PS referral and networking tool.
Q. What mistakes have you made in running your business and what lessons have you learnt from those?
Having a great idea is not going to guarantee success. Online advertising is not the only way to promote your business.
